Loanable Tech that can leave the Library
Resource Trunks for Educators are provided by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources’ Kids and Education Program. They contain books, samples, and activity kits to support teaching and learning about Illinois natural resources.

Located in Room 306 of the Main Library! Bring your active i-card or download the Illinois App to check items out.
PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING
1) You must have your active UIUC i-card or the Illinois App to pick up Loanable Tech. Courtesy/temp cards are not accepted. You may only pick up equipment on behalf of another patron if you are an official proxy.
2) When reserving items, please note the end date of the bookings. Some copies may have advance bookings in place. Full 10 days not guaranteed.
3) After selecting to “Check Out,” you will sign in with your netID and password. THEN you will be asked to answer a few questions and click “Submit my Booking.”
4) Reservations expire if they are not picked up the first day of the booking. Please check our Hours page.
If you don’t receive a booking confirmation email, please try again or call/email to see if there might have been an error.
The IDEA Lab provides a variety of technology free to checkout for patrons. Equipment is on a one week checkout with exception to assistive tech. Patrons who reserve materials must be physically present to check out the technology at the IDEA Lab Help Desk with their i-Card or the Illinois app. Please visit our Lab Policies page or our Frequently Asked Question page for additional information.
